LDA Meats, previously known as Ledbury District Abattoir, in Ledbury have been distributing traditional local meat for over 80 years.

Co-Directors Mark Newell and Gareth Hill have been with the company since 1982 and their experience is second to none. Although they serve over 80 catering establishments throughout the three counties, the LDA shop is also open to the public.
LDA Meats are a Ministry inspected cutting plant license no. 4761 and have a 5 star score on door award.

Traditional methods

Over the years we have maintained traditional methods of buying our carcasses; they arrive from the local abattoir, are matured here on our premises to give maximum flavor and butchered by us ready for catering and retail. We know where all of our meat originates from - We are part of the BLS (beef labeling scheme) Beef, Pork and Lamb are fully labeled with information which tells us the local farm that reared the animal.

Based on the Lynden Business Park on Lower Road, L D A Meats have the full range of traditional fresh, cooked and cold meats in the shop which is open to the public between 8am and 5pm.

The shop offers homemade sausages and burgers as well as BBQ packs - great for celebrating summer! LDA Meats also cook their own hams, beef and faggots on the premises.
All of our pork sausages are popular; with flavors like pork and leek, pork and apple, or tasty Cumberland and Lincolnshire through to pork and chili for the more daring! We also do a Traditional drycure bacon out of our own pigs and other bacon products are Cheshire Oak Cured.
